A central part of the project In100Y is the four Copenhagen Seminars, where more than 200 experts – visionary thinkers and practitioners – will meet to co-create scenarios of sustainable societies towards 2112. The seminars are part of a scenario process running the course of a year and an assessment process of whether the VELUX FOUNDATION should support a center for sustainability and environment in Denmark.
All four Copenhagen Seminars will look ahead to the next 100 years in order to explore the success criteria for human existence and the measurement of progress and well-being. These are fundamental questions with decisive implications for governments, businesses, organisations and individuals. Human development as propelled by our economic, technological and political system is dynamic and all parties must be involved in co-creating our common future. Time has come to establish a new platform where this is possible, and we have to go beyond short term egocentric interests. “In 100 years – starting now” is such a platform.
